The typically reticent, at least in matters of privacy, actress has opened up to on the turns in her life that have both dominated the headlines and miraculously managed to keep out of them—until now.The 40-year-old actress, who has two adopted children with ex-hubby Tom Cruise and who has made no secret of her desire to have more with new hubby Keith Urban, reveals in the magazine's October issue that she suffered not one but two miscarriages during her relationship with Cruise and that her early loss paved the way for the adoption of her two children, Isabella, 14, and Connor, 12."From the minute Tom and I were married, I wanted to have babies," Kidman, who was 22 when she met the movie star, tells the magazine.Kidman continued to star in commercially successful films, including the horror-thriller The Others (2001) and the epic war drama film Cold Mountain (2003), as she achieved critical acclaim for roles in independent films, including the dramas Dogville (2003), Birth (2004), and Rabbit Hole (2010), for which she received a third Best Actress Oscar nomination, and the thriller The Paperboy (2012).Following a period of critical and commercial failures, Kidman earned a fourth Oscar nomination for playing a troubled mother in the biopic Lion (2016).At first it may have seemed like a surprising pairing, the statuesque Oscar winner and the Nashville-based country singer, but the couple have quietly proved countless times over just how right for each other they were.And today, they celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary, looking just as smitten as on day one."We actually said we're going to celebrate all year," Kidman told E! The erotic thriller famously took two years to shoot, but according to Nicole, she and Tom "loved it." "Everyone thought that was when our marriage started to break down -- not at all," she reveals.
